Master’s student position in Bioinformatics

We have a position for a Master’s student in Bioinformatics. If you have a degree in Microbiology, Biology or Genetics and an interest in bioinformatics training, we are looking for you! If you have taken one or more courses in statistics or computer sciences and have some knowledge of a programming language, you are a strong candidate!

This position is linked to the interdisciplinary program in antibiotic discovery led by Dr. Silvia Cardona, Dr. Pingzhao Hu and Dr. Rebecca Davis. You will be fully funded through a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

You will choose to join the Microbiology graduate program or the Individual Interdisciplinary Studies program with training in Medical Computational Biology and Biostatistics.

In addition, you will develop your thesis by processing and analyzing chemogenomic experiments directed to discover novel antibiotic molecules and their mechanisms of action.
